Angela Stempel (b.1989) is a Venezuelan- American filmmaker, animation artist and industry proven director. Her animated narratives investigate the possibilities of abstraction, while telling the stories of lovably flawed characters with overactive imaginations. While her work leans into humor for social commentary, she is deeply interested in celebrating all the experiences of her female protagonists with empathy. Her films have screened at the Annecy Animation Festival, Pictoplasma, Slamdance, the Ottawa Animation Festival and the Zagreb Animation Festival, to name a few. In 2021, she was the Executive Producer and Animation Director of the PEN15 Animated Special, now streaming on Hulu. In 2024, she completed her first, 45 minute Animated Musical Special which she directed for AppleTV+ and Bento Box Entertainment.

Since the age of 10, Hugo hasn't lived in the same country for more than 4 years.
Born and raised in a picturesque coastal town in Portugal, he soon set off on his travels, moving with his family to Spain, before making his way to London, Amsterdam and Berlin. Once he had enough of Northern Europe's cold weather, he moved to Spain once again, and he currently lives and works in the sunny city of Barcelona.

There are no degrees or awards that Hugo can hide his true persona behind, but over the last decade, he has been honing his skills and working with some of the top design and animation studios in the industry.
